I have been going through a wonderful book, A Modern Girl's Guide to Bible Study , in our Bible study at church. I would love to recommend this book to any girl or woman that needs a realistic life approach to Bible Study. Jen Hatmaker is the author, and she is a mother and wife of a Pastor in Austin. It really is an excellent approach to Bible Study. Jen gives you the tools you need to make Bible Study your own and gives you the experiences you need to grow and love the Word. It has been a great thing to get in, and it's so easy to do. God does amazing things when you actually sit down and talk to Him.
My food today is very simple. Chrissie Dunham at Prestonwood had a great point today that she got from the Student Ministry. When you wake up each day, you decide what God is to you. Are you going to obey Him, and get in his Word and trust that He has everything under control? Or are you going to put it off and brush Him off thinking that you can take care of it yourself? God wants to know us and will always be there, we have to make that decision in the morning if we're going to go talk to Him. Yes it may be hard, but God doesn't change. He's there. Where are you?
