In January 2006, Brad proposed. We were married shortly after I graduated on December 30, 2006.
I moved to the Dallas area after we got married since Brad had a job. I eventually got a wonderful music teaching job that I love! I have been at the school for 4 years and couldn't ask for a better place to work and teach.
In November 2008, Brad approached me to inform me that he wanted a career change into Law Enforcement. Since that day, our lives have kind of been turned upside down. Brad was hired in June 2009 at a nearby agency and began Police Academy in January 2010. I am very proud of him and I know he will be an amazing officer. With all of my fears about him being a police officer, I can only put my trust in God that He will take care of my husband and family.
Shortly after Brad began his new career, we began trying to get pregnant. Things didn't go the way I had planned and we began realizing that this was going to be a little more difficult. I was diagnosed with PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) and was pretty much told we would need some "help" in getting pregnant. After 5 cycles of medication, we still hadn't conceived so we were referred to a specialist. After running a few tests, God answered our prayers.
Blake Miller joined us on November 1, 2011 and life couldn't get any better. We are so blessed to have such a perfect little boy in our lives.
We are very blessed in our lives. The Lord has been good to us. We continue to pray for His mercy and love in our marriage that we may grow stronger and stronger in Him, as well as each other as we face changes in our lives.
