3 months

Dear Sweet Blake -

You are growing entirely too fast!  (I think I am going to have to say that with every post!)  You have blessed us for 3 months now, and it just has gone by so fast.  Your mommy and daddy adore you and just love seeing you grow everyday.

We didn't have a doctor appointment this month to check on you, so we don't have your official stats.  I would imagine you're around 14 lbs. right about now.  You've gotten so long too!  I think you're going to be a tall fellow.  :)

Here are a few things that you're doing these days:

• You have definitely made it a habit to sleep through the night.  Every night, except one, you have been in bed by 9:30 and sleep until around 6:30 when we wake you up.  You are a rockstar of a sleeper!  You really must have your parents' genes in you!
• You had your very first "sick" episode last week.  You were so congested and we could tell you were feeling yucky, but you got through it without a day missed at daycare or going to the doctor!  Such a strong, healthy boy!
• You smile a lot now!  You will look at us and just start smiling!  It's such a heart wrenching little smile!  When I see that smile it just makes me want to cuddle you all up!  It definitely makes it much harder to leave you in the morning.
• You started playing in your Jumperoo that your Grandma and Poppa got you for Christmas.   YOU LOVE IT!  You're still not tall enough to really reach the floor, but we put a box underneath you so you could put your feet down.  You are slowly figuring out how to jump in it, but you love all of the things to look at.  Most of the time you will stay in it for 20+ minutes at a time with no fussiness. (Your mommy loves this sometimes when it's time to get dinner ready!)

• You have discovered your hands.  You are constantly putting your fists in your mouth and sucking on them!  It is so cute!
• You LOVE bath time.  We have now moved your bath time earlier to allow you more "play" time.  You started getting frustrated with the confinement of the tub we had been using, so we have now moved you to the big bath tub!  You love getting to stretch out and just kick and kick around.  Daddy and I have to keep a close watch on you so that you don't scare yourself too badly.  :)

• You laughed for the first time at yourself! It was the most adorable laugh! We tried to get it on camera, but of course you had nothing to do with that. Daddy set you on the table after we had finished dinner, and you started kicking the bowls. You must have thought that was just hilarious! It was so cute! I can't wait until this is a regular occurrence. :)
• You eat anywhere from 6-8oz at each feeding. 
• You are still fitting into most of your 0-3 month clothes, but they are definitely getting a little more snug or aren't long enough.  Daddy is letting you try some of your new clothes now too.
• We are slowly transitioning you into Size 2 diapers.  Once we finish this last box of size 1, you will be in 2's all of the time! 

You have been such a blessing to your daddy and me.  We love you more than you could ever imagine!  We feel so lucky to get to be your parents and know that God gave us a great job to be your parents.  I am so blessed to be your mommy.
